Winter Seasons to Begin

Immediately following the completion of the Grace School fall sports' season, the coaches have transitioned to their winter teams. I have turned in my football cleats for soccer boots, Coach G has moved indoors from cross country to basketball, and Coach Moon has taken down her volleyball net to coach basketball. Joining us in the winter are Jeff Thomas, leading the girls' varsity basketball team, Jason Barnes, who will coach JV boys' basketball, and Sarah McNallen, who will coach girls' soccer.

It looks to be an exciting winter for all!

Grace Football Starts Quickly

The 2009 Grace Gators have gotten off to a strong start this season. After scrimmages at Houston Christian High School and at Presbyterian School, we kicked off the regular season at home against Westbury Christian. We were trailing in the first half when the lightning came and we were unable to finish. Our next game was a home matchup against St. John's. Grace led 20-0 after a strong first half and went on to win 36-0. We followed that win with a trip to KIPP Academy. Once again, we played a great first half and led 24-0, before finishing with a 34-8 win.

This week, we are on the road Tuesday for a "B" team against Cypress Christian School, before returning home Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. game with Kinkaid.
